Abstract
The level of insulation of 10kV rural distribution lines is relatively low, resulting in a significant increase in the incidence of lightning accidents. The rural terrain is complex, and the use of the same lightning protection standard is not safe. Lightning protection research on three working conditions in the background of rural distribution lines. Using the ATP-EMTP software, based on the inductive thunder and direct lightning model, the effects of various lightning protection measures on rural distribution lines were analyzed. The results show that under different conditions, differentiated lightning protection measures have significantly improved the lightning withstand level of distribution line.
