Abstract
Dynamic distribution network reconfiguration has gained much interest from researchers working in the field of power systems. This paper aims to present a systematic literature review of the trends, limitations and future avenues for dynamic distribution network reconfiguration. It classifies the previous research works by year of publication, type of paper and name of journals or conferences. Furthermore, it identifies the test systems, simulation tools and distributed generation units used. Five digital databases namely Science Direct, Wiley, Springer Link, IEEE Explore and Emerald were explored. After applying the inclusion/exclusion criteria and the quality assessment criteria, 41 papers were scrutinised. It was revealed that multi-objective optimisation plays a vital role in the dynamic distribution network reconfiguration considering several technical and economic aspects. This review may help researchers and engineers to choose the most appropriate optimisation technique and simulation environment according to their needs.
