Abstract
The large-scale power fluctuation in the development of renewable energy demand a large voltage gain range of related DC/DC converter. This paper proposed a wide-gain range LLC resonant converter based on five-switches bridge. By changing the modulation principle, the proposed topology can work under high gain mode(HGM), medium gain mode(MGM) and low gain mode(LGM). The maximum gain of the converter is eight times the minimum gain. Then, the topology description, gain mode analysis, mode switching principle are analyzed. A 40-320V input, 96V output, 300W prototype is built to verify the proposed theory. ZVS turn-on of all MOSFETs on primary side can be realized from no load to full load. As a result, the designed prototype reaches a 96.4% peak efficiency.
